Come out and talk about local issues with Oakland Local staff, local leaders, and your neighbors. Starting this January, at Farley's East, join the Oakland Local reporting team and local leaders for a morning meet up and discussion.
Our first event is at Farley's East, and we'll be talking about Innovative solutions for retail growth in Oakland with a look at Q4 2011 projects including Popup Hood, Oakland Grown's gift Card, Oakland in the Black, Githinji Wa Mbire's art shop on 14th, Oakcollectiv, Oaklandish retail and others. Please join us--and lots of the cool people involved in these projects-- for the first News Cafe on January 24.

How does the News Cafe work?
Coffee , tea and pastries are served from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., followed by a panel discussion from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
